Food Drying Cloth with Net Cover

Dry papad, vadam and chillies on the terrace without birds and dust getting at them. Spread the food on the cotton cloth, zip the mesh net closed over it, and let the sun do its work while pigeons, crows and flies stay off. About 74 × 91 cm, with an unbleached cotton base and a fine white mesh top. Not for leaving out in the rain: the cloth and net are not waterproof.

• Birds can't peck in: the net zips closed over the food, so pigeons and crows can't get at your grains.
• Dust and flies kept out: the fine mesh keeps out dust, insects and leaves but lets air and sunlight through.
• Big enough for a batch: about 74 × 91 cm fits papad, rice, chillies and pulses side by side.
• Wash and reuse: rinse the cloth and net, dry them fully and fold away until next time.

How to use

1. Lay the cloth flat in the sun on a clean terrace, balcony or courtyard floor.
2. Open the zip and spread papad, vadam or grains in a thin layer on the cotton.
3. Zip the net closed. Bring it inside in the evening or as soon as rain starts.
